The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Yvan Gil Pinto on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The message states, in particular:
“The decision of the Venezuelan leadership to recognize the sovereignty of South Ossetia, taken on September 10, 2009, was a significant moment in the modern history of our state and a powerful act of international solidarity. It exemplified Venezuela's unwavering commitment to the fundamental principles of equality and self-determination of peoples, thereby laying a solid foundation for strategic partnership and trust-based political dialogue between our countries.”
Akhsar Dzhioev also sent a congratulatory message to the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of South Ossetia, Jesus Rafael Salazar Velasquez.
